The Silicon Valley professional chapter strives to build a community for black professionals through social and networking events, empower them through professional development and technical workshops and connect them with organizations and companies in Silicon Valley through corporate mixers and collaborations.
Technical Professional & Development
NSBE invites companies and speakers to hold informative and/or professional development workshop sessions for our chapter members. These sessions allow corporate bodies to share more information about their companies to our general members. Additionally, they have the opportunity to host workshops and seminars to enhance professional success of our members. Topics include Golden Negotiations, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Health and Wellness etc. Please let us know if there is a topic already of great interest to you or we can notify your company of what topic we would like you to discuss.
SOCIAL & NETWORKING EVENTS
The chapter hosts social events to create an environment that allows members meet and network with fellow professional engineers. These events include but are not limited to virtual game nights, happy hour, laser tag, sip n paint, and much more. Through these events, we encourage our corporate partners to join engineers in a more social setting which gives them the advantage of learning more about engineers out of their comfort zone
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The community outreach initiative will include outreach activities that positively impact the Silicon Valley community. Activities include using our engineering skills to support the local Habitat for Humanity, volunteering at K-12 schools as a chapter, providing mentoring opportunities for high school students, establishing a Big brother Big sister initiative and much more.
CORPORATE COLLABORATION
The Silicon Valley Professional Chapter of NSBE is focused on networking, professional development and giving back.
Sponsoring companies and individuals can participate in networking events such as:

o Help NSBE SV PRO spread the word of STEM to K-12 students and college students.
